Pediatría accepts for publication only previously unpublished original articles concerning pediatric clinical or experimental research, social medicine, or public health. It is published quarterly (April, August, December). The journal accepts pre-published or pre-printed articles (preprint) on servers with this methodology.

The official abbreviation of the title is: Pediatr. (Asunción) , which must be used in bibliographies, footnotes, endnotes, captions, and lists of references.
