SciELO | The Scientific Electronic Library Online - SciELO Paraguay is a virtual library formed by a network of collections of scientific journals published in Paraguay that allows access to the full text, open, free and free text.
It is a joint work originated in the Paraguayan Congress of Pediatrics in October 2004 with the participation of different Paraguayan institutions among which are: Sociedad Paraguaya de Pediatría, Facultad de Ciencias Médicas dependent on the Universidad Nacional de Asunción; the Instituto Nacional de Salud dependent of the Ministerio de Salud Pública y Bienestar Social; the Organización Panamericana de la Salud – Organización Mundial de la Salud (OPS /OMS) and the IICS – Instituto de Investigaciones en Ciencias de la Salud, dependent on UNA – Universidad Nacional de Asunción. SciELO Paraguay was published on August 2, 2007.
Project of a regional nature that in Paraguay the Coordinating Center of the SciELO Paraguay Initiative is the Research Institute of Health Sciences dependent on UNA.
The SciELO library is the result of cooperation between BIREME - Latin American and Caribbean Center of Information in Health Sciences and FAPESP, Research Support Foundation of the State of São Paulo, since 1997.
The FAPESP / BIREME project contemplates the development of a common methodology for the preparation, storage, dissemination and evaluation of scientific literature in electronic format.
With the development of the SciELO Paraguay project, new titles will be added to the library collection in other thematic areas. | |

This is the main page of the SciELO Paraguay site.
The goal of the SciELO Paraguay site is to implement an electronic library, which provides full access to a collection of journals, a collection of individual journal numbers, as well as the full text of the articles. Access to both magazines and articles can be done using indexes and search forms.
The SciELO Paraguay collection began with national scientific journals in the area of health specifically, previously evaluated by peer review (peer reviewers) according to quality criteria, currently includes other thematic areas.

The SciELO interface provides access to your collection of journals through an alphabetical list of titles, a subject index, or a search by journal title, names of publishers, city of publication and subject.
The interface also provides access to the full text of the articles through an index of authors, a table of contents or a search form by the elements of the article such as names of authors, words of the title, subjects and words of the complete text.
