Abstract

The objective of the study was to describe the perception of online courses during the COVID-19 pandemic in San Ignacio de Loyola University’s students, 2020. The study has a quantitative, descriptive, transactional approach. The sampling was for the convenience and voluntary of active students of the institution. The data collection was through a survey via WhatsApp during March and April 2020 and included 40 students. The instrument was a questionnaire adapted from Coffield and Edward and Bangert with 23 five-point Likert-type items and an open question classified into six dimensions: contact between the university and the student, cooperation between students, active learning, quick comments, time spent in tasks and activities and, high expectations. The means of the scores were: for contact of the faculty with the student (: 4.10), cooperation between students (: 3.70), active learning (: 4.01), quick comments (: 3 .80), time spent on tasks and activities (: 3.86) and high expectations (: 3.86). It is concluded that the teacher's digital skills and the use of online videoconferences are identified as strategic allies of the classes on the platform.
