Abstract: The Yaguaron Hill is a plateau made up of red sandstones from the Asunción Group. It is constituted as a witness hill located in Asunción Arch, in the western segment of the Asunción Rift. Its plateau shape originated from an erosive modeling by avulsion, after the positive vertical epirogenesis of reactivation the Asunción Arch during of the Andean Tectonic Cycle in the Lower Cenozoic.
