Abstract

The present investigation was carried out with the objective of evaluating economically the intensive fattening of cattle in a cattle ranch of the district of Tacuatí - Department of San Pedro. For this purpose, economic records of cattle from an intensive fattening establishment for the years 2015 and 2016 were used. The economic evaluation was performed through economic indicators such as Net Profit, Cost Benefit Ratio (RBC), Cost Benefit Ratio (RCB), Profitability and Point of Balance. For the two years, a Gross Profit of 4,050,420,000 Guarani (Gs) was obtained, an outflow of 3,181,341,526 Gs and a Net Profit of 869,078,474 Gs. The RBC was 1.27, the RCB was 0.78, the yield was 27.3% and the break-even point was 38 steers. In the year 2015, the Net Profit was 469,324,060 Gs, the RBC of 1.28, the RCB of 0.78, the Profitability of 27.9% and break-even point of 42 steers; in 2016, the Net Profit was 399,754,414 Gs, the RBC of 1.26, and the RCB of 0.78, the Profitability of 26.6% and the balance of 33 steers.
