Estudios paraguayos is an indexed, open access, scientific, peer-reviewed publication with a double-blind evaluation system and biannual publication: June (first semester publication period) and December (second semester publication period) of each year. With over 50 years of activity, Estudios paraguayos has become one of the most important and prestigious media for social scientific work related to studies on Paraguay.

The journal accepts only "original scientific articles" for topics of philosophical, sociological, historical, pedagogical, political, economic, anthropological, artistic, and other related nature, aimed at researchers, teachers, and students of social sciences who have Paraguay as their object of study (Thematic Areas: Humanities and Applied Social Sciences).

The article submitted for publication, original and unpublished, should not be submitted to any other journal during the editorial process.

The journal does not charge an embargo for publication to either authors or readers.

The journal accepts pre-published or preprint articles on servers with that methodology.
