The research aims to identify important aspects of the female gender in the world of culture. The study focused on qualitative, transversal and descriptive. A systematic review was carried out using PRISMA in Scopus, Google Scholar and EBSCO Host in 2023. The inclusion criteria were articles published in an indexed journal, between 2018 and 2023, keywords (role of women, woman in culture, and woman and culture, and free access, etc.). 14 articles were analyzed for the present research study. Critical texts share the need to challenge traditional gender roles and address issues such as the limitation of women's professional development, stereotypical representation in advertising, sexual and reproductive autonomy, and the persistence of gender violence. They reflect on the role of women in different contexts, from the workplace to environmental issues, underscoring the importance of changing structures that perpetuate inequality. It concludes by showing the impact of women's contributions in different areas (managerial, administrative, management, politics, religion and education) allowing a resounding paradigm shift regarding their importance in society, generating accelerated progress towards the recognition of their rights.
