GARAY BAEZ, Alejandra  e  DOMINGUEZ, Manuel Martínez. Gender and woman as historical concepts in transit. Estud. parag. [online]. 2025, vol.43, n.1, pp.173-185. ISSN 0251-2483.  https://doi.org/10.47133/respy43-25-1-1a-07.

This work is an essay intended to approach the role of women throughout history. To this end, it proposes a journey from the category of gender linked to Reinhart Koselleck's conceptual history approach to analyze the concept of woman throughout Paraguay's colonial and postcolonial history. Understanding that concepts are not static, but rather possess their own temporal structure, the bibliographic analysis focuses on how the concept of woman has evolved in relation to specific historical contexts. In this sense, it is worth highlighting that, while in traditional historiography, women have historically been excluded from the narrative, there is currently an effort to recover the role of women from a situated perspective and taking into account the category of gender as a historical concept in transition. Conceptual history allows us to identify how feminine was constructed within a framework of linguistic, symbolic, and political possibilities that respond to past experiences and the horizons of each situation.

Palavras-chave : woman; gender; historiography; Paraguay.
