A country's exports are key to its economy. The objective of this research is to investigate the contribution of non-traditional exports to the economic growth of Paraguay through the case of the food sector, during the period 2011-2020. For this purpose, a bibliographical-documentary methodological design was proposed, in which an econometric model was used that linked the Gross Domestic Product with traditional and non-traditional exports of the food sector together with other variables, to verify its effects. Among the main results, it is worth noting the positive effect of non-traditional exports on the growth of the economy and its potential to diversify the country's export basket.
