Abstract
ARMADANS ROJAS, Andrés José; QUINTANA TROCHE, Alfredo; ORTIZ ALFONSO, Aldo Andrés and ROJAS BARRIOS, Miguel. Production of Corn (Zea Mays L) by Application of Biostimulants. Rev. ciente. UCSA [online]. 2025, vol.12, n.2, pp.15-21. ISSN 2409-8752. https://doi.org/10.18004/ucsa/2409-8752/2025.012.02.015.
Nowadays, combined fertilization alternatives are being sought for crops in order to achieve higher grain yields. In the search for options, the application of biostimulants is found. The objective of this work was to evaluate the yield of Bt corn (zea mays) with the use of biostimulants. The experiment was carried out in the district of Eusebio Ayala, Department of Cordillera, whose coordinates are Latitude 25°,27'37" S - longitude 56°,51'19" W. 4 treatments were used consisting of T1 = absolute control, T2 = 20 ml of biostimulant, T3 = 30 ml of biostimulant and T4 = 40 ml of biostimulant, with 4 repetitions totaling 12 experimental units. The design used was randomized complete blocks (DBCA). Plant height, ear length, weight of 1000 grains and yield (kg/ha) were evaluated and were influenced by the application of biostimulant, finding a statistical difference in the ANAVA. Treatment T4 (40 ml of biostimulant) presented greater plant height (2.2 m) and spike length with 22.46 cm. Already in the weight of 1000 grains and yield, treatments T3 (30 ml of biostimulant) and T4 (40 ml of biostimulant) presented the highest value.
