Pruritus is an unpleasant sensation that causes the urge to scratch. Although it is often associated with primary skin diseases, in many cases, it can be the initial manifestation or even the only symptom of a systemic disease. The most common systemic causes are hematological and liver diseases.
This report describes a case of Hodgkin's lymphoma that presented with long-standing pruritus that did not respond to conventional treatments. Phototherapy was initiated as an antipruritic medication, achieving a good response and improvement of the condition.
