Thyroid carcinoma is the most common endocrine neoplasm with several histological subtypes, papillary carcinoma being the most common. We present the case of a 48-year-old woman who underwent surgery for an 18-year-old tumor in the infrahyoid region, whose final pathological diagnosis was papillary carcinoma with desmoid-like stroma (fibromatosis-like), which represents a rare subtype of papillary carcinoma.
