Summary: this article analyzes the agreements between Mercosur and the European Union with regard to their provisional application and validity, including comments on the European Parliament's request for a preliminary ruling from the Court of Justice of the European Union and the consequences of a potential rejection of the Mercosur-European Union Association Agreement by a national parliament.
