RODRIGUEZ MORENO, Guillermo Roberto y RUIZ DIAZ, Daniela. Relevance and impact of the research project on the labor trajectory of the graduate of the agricultural technical baccalaureate of the IED Agropecuario La Sierra. Rev. Int. Investig. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2026, vol.22, n.1, pp.71-78. ISSN 2226-4000. https://doi.org/10.18004/riics.2026.junio.71.
The relevance of the research project to agricultural technical secondary education at IED Agropecuario La Sierra is a topic of ongoing debate. This study analyzed the perceptions of graduates from a rural institution regarding the contribution of their degree project to their career path. A concurrent mixed-method design was used, combining documentary analysis of 47 degree projects, surveys of 27 graduates and 24 students, and interviews with 5 teachers. The results reveal a thematic structure with two main strands (Agribusiness, 15%; Sustainable Agriculture, 13%) and a high dispersion (70% of unique topics). Although graduates positively value the development of transversal competencies such as adaptability (92.5%), significant negative correlations were found between female gender and the perception of a positive impact of the project on their career (r=-0.54). It is concluded that the project is valued primarily for the development of transferable skills rather than for technical specialization, though significant gender equity gaps are evident that require institutional attention.
