Postage stamps have played an important role in social communication and the consolidation of national identity in different countries. The images that appear on them convey cultural, historical, and political messages, generating significant impacts. This article examines the representation of the Palacio de los López in Paraguayan philately and its use as a social communication tool aimed at influencing public perception. The research is based on a qualitative approach with a heuristic-hermeneutic methodology, analyzing postage stamps issued between 1870 and 2021 related to this Paraguayan architectural work. An iconographic and iconological analysis of the stamps was conducted to understand their visual and symbolic elements as social communication tools in the dissemination of Paraguayan culture and history. A total of 43 stamps, corresponding to 16 postal series, were analyzed. It is concluded that the postage stamps representing the Palacio de los López have played a significant role in social communication and in reaffirming national identity, contributing to the promotion and preservation of its historical and cultural heritage.
