<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2222-145X2021000200104&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2222-145X2021000200104&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2222-145X2021000200104&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen: Los complejos alcalino-carbonatíticos de los cerros Chiriguelo y Sarambí, forman estructuras circulares bien definidas, con diámetro entre 5 a 7 km, distan unos 25 y 68 Km respectivamente, hacia el Oeste de Pedro Juan Caballero, Región Noreste del Paraguay Oriental. Estos complejos ígneos alcalino-carbonatitico pertenecen a la Provincia Alcalina del Amambay de edad Mesozoica, que intruyeron a las unidades más antiguas que van desde el basamento cristalino de edad Precámbrica hasta el Carbonífero Superior; estas unidades a la vez fueron levantados y expuesto en las periferias de la intrusión formando su anillo externo, donde afloran las rocas metamórficas del basamento cristalino y los sedimentos Paleozoicos. Litológicamente las rocas ígneas silicáticas son piroxenita micáceas que se encuentra ocupando la porción central de la estructura circular, circundada por sienita alcalina, sienita nefelínica, traquitas, fonolitas y diques de lamprófidos, que a su vez fueron intruídas por carbonatita transgresiva clasificadas como sovita, silicocar- bonatita, ferrocarbonatita y rodbergita; la intrusión de magma de naturaleza carbonática, a su vez ha producido intensa fenitización de rocas circundantes de las rocas Precámbricas y Paleozoicas. En la porción central de la estructura anular se localizan los cuerpos carbonatiticos que actualmente se encuentran fuertemente meteori- zadas, con importante desarrollo de suelo arcilloso descalcificado que normalmente contiene concentraciones anómalas de minerales asociados como son los de Elementos de Tierras Raras (ETR), estroncianita, pirocloro, apatito, magnetita y barita.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: The alkaline-carbonatite complexes of the Chiriguelo and Sarambí hills form well-defined circular structures, with a diameter between 5 and 7 km, about 25 and 68 km respectively, to the west of Pedro Juan Caballero, Northeast of Eastern Paraguay. These alkaline-carbonatite igneous complexes belong to the Alkaline Province of the Amambay of Mesozoic age, which intruded the oldest units that range from the crystalline ba- sement of Precambrian age to the Upper Carboniferous; these units at the same time were raised and exposed in the peripheries of the intrusion forming their outer ring, where the metamorphic rocks of the crystalline basement and the Paleozoic sediments emerge. Lithologically, the igneous silicates rocks are micaceous pyroxenite that is occupying the central portion of the circular structure, surrounded by alkaline syenite, nepheline syenite, trachytes, phonolites and lamprophires dikes, which in turn were intruded by transgressive carbonatite classified as sovite, silicocarbonatite , ferrocarbonatite and rodbergite; the intrusion of magma of carbonatic nature, in turn has produced intense fenitization of su- rrounding of the Precambrian and Paleozoic rocks. In the central portion of the annular structure, the carbonatite bodies that are currently heavily weathered are located, with significant development of decalcified clay soil that normally contains anomalous concentrations of associated minerals such as the Rare Earths Elements (REE), strontium, pyrochlore, apatite, magnetite and barite.]]></p></abstract>
