Pacientes y métodos: 43 pacientes sometidos a reparación de hernia inguinal mediante la técnica Trans-abdomino-preperitoneal (TAPP) en el Servicio de la Primera Cátedra de Clínica Quirúrgica durante el período de 2016 a 2024. Estudio retrospectivo, descriptivo y transversal que tiene como objetivo evaluar la experiencia utilizando la técnica Trans-abdomino-preperitoneal (TAPP) en la reparación de hernia inguinal del Servicio de la Primera Cátedra de Clínica Quirúrgica en el periodo 2016-2024. Resultados: 79% fueron masculinos, con edad entre 29 a 39 años en un 44,2%, la mayoría presento una hernia inguinal izquierda en un 46,5%, tipo indirectas en una 62,8%. Conclusión: Los bajos índices de complicaciones posoperatorias y el tiempo de recuperación relativamente breve son aspectos alentadores que respaldan la eficacia y seguridad de la técnica TAPP en la reparación de hernias inguinales en este entorno clínico.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Objective: To describe the level of satisfaction and characteristics. Introduction: Inguinal hernioplasty is a technique performed by surgeons, which over time presents improvements in the technique and materials used in order to improve the patient's quality of life. Patients and methods: 43 patients who underwent inguinal hernia repair using the Trans-abdomino-preperitoneal (TAPP) technique at the First Chair of Clinical Surgery Service during the period 2016 to 2024. Retrospective, descriptive and cross-sectional study that aims to describe the experience using the Trans-abdomino-preperitoneal (TAPP) technique in inguinal hernia repair at the First Chair of Clinical Surgery Service in the period 2016-2024. Results: 79% were male, aged between 29 and 39 years in 44.2%, the majority presented a left inguinal hernia in 46.5%, indirect type in 62.8%. Conclusion: The low rates of postoperative complications and the relatively short recovery time are strong aspects that support the efficacy and safety of the TAPP technique in inguinal hernia repair in this clinical setting.]]></p></abstract>
