<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2305-06832017000200077&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2305-06832017000200077&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2305-06832017000200077&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN Esta investigación se realizó en el Centro Hortícola de la Facultad de Ciencias Agrarias, Universidad Nacional de Asunción, San Lorenzo, Paraguay, con el objetivo de evaluar los efectos de diferentes periodos de convivencia y control de malezas sobre la productividad del cultivo de zanahoria y determinar los periodos de interferencia de malezas. Se utilizó el diseño experimental bloques completos al azar, con arreglo factorial (2*14) (convivencia y control de malezas y 14 periodos), con cuatro repeticiones. Cada unidad experimental estuvo constituida de cuatro hileras del cultivo de 2,5 m de longitud. Se evaluó la fitosociología de la comunidad infestante, la masa seca del cultivo, la longitud, el diámetro y el rendimiento comercial de raíces. Las variables fueron sometidas al análisis de varianza y comparación de medias por la prueba de Tukey al 5%. El periodo anterior a la interferencia (PAI), el periodo total de prevención de la interferencia (PTPI) y el periodo crítico de interferencia (PCI), fueron determinados mediante el análisis de regresión sigmoidal de Boltzmann, considerando una pérdida máxima permisible del 5% en el rendimiento comercial de raíces. Las malezas con mayor importancia relativa fueron: Coronopus didymus, Gamochaeta coarctata, Amaranthus retroflexus, Eleusine indica y Galinsoga parviflora. Se obtuvo una pérdida máxima de 93,3% en el rendimiento comercial de raíces, en convivencia permanente del cultivo con malezas. El PAI se estableció en 2,7 semanas (19 días); el PTPI, en diez semanas (70 días) y el PCI entre los 19 y 70 días desde la emergencia del cultivo.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT This research was conducted in Centro Hortícola of the Facultad of Ciencias Agrarias, Universidad Nacional of Asunción, San Lorenzo, Paraguay, with the objective of evaluate the effects of different periods of coexistence and weed control on carrot crop productivity and determine the periods of weed interference. Experimental randomized complete block design was used, factorial (2*14) (coexistence and weed control and 14 periods), with four replications. Each experimental unit consisted of four rows of growing 2.5 m in length. Phytosociology of infesting community, the dry mass of the crop, length, diameter and the commercial productivity of roots was evaluated. The variables were subjected to analysis of variance and comparison of means by Tukey 5%. The period prior to the interference (PAI), the total period of the prevention of interference (PTPI) and the critical period interference (PCI), was determined by analyzing sigmoidal regression Boltzmann, considering a maximum allowable loss of 5% in the commercial productivity of roots. Weeds with greater relative importance were: Coronopus didymus, Gamochaeta coarctata, Amaranthus retroflexus, Eleusine indica and Galinsoga parviflora. A maximum loss of 93.3% in the commercial performance of roots in permanent coexistence with weeds was obtained. The PAI was set at 2.7 weeks (19 days); the PTPI in ten weeks (70 days) and PCI between 19 and 70 days after crop emergence.]]></p></abstract>
