Determinar los factores ambientales con los que se relaciona ayudaría a analizar cómo la calidad del hábitat afecta a la abundancia y densidad de la misma. Se realizaron tres pares de parcelas de captura-marca-recaptura, clasificados en tres niveles de perturbación y se muestrearon por 5 noches. Los resultados muestran que en perturbaciones más altas hay un promedio menor de abundancia (38 individuos) en comparación con la perturbación más baja (64 individuos), ocurriendo lo mismo con la densidad. Así mismo, se relaciona con características del microhábitat con menor degradación. A pesar de ser considerada una especie generalista, A. montensis responde de manera variada a los diferentes cambios (perturbaciones) que pueden ocurrir en el hábitat, observándose que tiende a verse afectada negativamente por las perturbaciones altas.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract: Akodon montensis, a persistent host for Hantavirus, is a common rodent species in primary and secondary forests, and is considered to be a generalist species. Determining the environmental factors which affect it would help to evaluate how habitat quality affects the species&#8217; abundance and density. Three pairs of mark-recapture grids were established, classified into three disturbance levels, and sampled for five nights. The results show that in higher disturbances there is a lower average abundance (38 individuals) compared to the lowest disturbance (64 individuals), and the same is true for population density. Similarly, it is encountered more frequently in microhabitat with less degradation. Despite being considered a generalist species, A. montensis responds in varied ways to the different changes (disturbances) that may occur in the habitat, although it tends to be negatively affected by high disturbances.]]></p></abstract>
