Con el objetivo de caracterizar la nomenclatura de las dietas hospitalarias desde la revisión de la literatura, se realizó una revisión de los estudios identificados en las bases de datos; PubMed, Science Direct, Oxford Academic y Google Scholar Se incluyeron estudios y Guías con mención a las nomenclaturas de dietas hospitalarias. Fueron identificados para su revisión 2460 artículos, se seleccionaron 50 artículos para su revisión completa, de los cuales 8 se incluyeron para el análisis final. Se pudo determinar la existencia de protocolos, guías y manuales direccionados al manejo o al uso de las nomenclaturas de dietas hospitalarias, así también algunos cambios no lejanos a lo ya establecido como consta en los estudios y guías revisados (n=8). Gran parte de los estudios primarios incluidos en la revisión contemplan el uso de las nomenclaturas de dietas hospitalarias de acuerdo a la situación clínica. Al evaluar los estudios y guías no se ha observado cambios mayormente en relación a las nomenclaturas, sin embargo, en algunos existe acercamiento al consenso CODINUCAT. La implementación de las actualizaciones no se ve reflejada en la mayoría de los estudios de la revisión, esto debido a que no existe un modelo o protocolo a seguir en cuanto a las nomenclaturas de dietas hospitalarias en la mayoría de los nosocomios.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Within the hospital setting, the lack of consensus on hospital diet nomenclature has always been a concern, especially among nutritionists, despite advances in the fields of food, dietetics, and nutrition. In order to characterize hospital diet nomenclature based on a literature review, a review of the studies identified in the databases PubMed, Science Direct, Oxford Academic, and Google Scholar was conducted. Studies and guidelines mentioning hospital diet nomenclature were included. A total of 2,460 articles were identified for review, and 50 articles were selected for full review, of which 8 were included for the final analysis. The existence of protocols, guidelines, and manuals addressing the management or use of hospital diet nomenclature was determined, as well as some changes not far removed from what was already established, as reflected in the studies and guidelines reviewed (n=8). Most of the primary studies included in the review consider the use of hospital dietary nomenclatures according to the clinical situation. When evaluating the studies and guidelines, no major changes were observed in the nomenclatures; however, some have moved closer to the CODINUCAT consensus. The implementation of the updates is not reflected in most of the studies in the review, due to the lack of a model or protocol for hospital dietary nomenclatures in most hospitals.]]></p></abstract>
