<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S1816-89492025000100083&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S1816-89492025000100083&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.iics.una.py/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S1816-89492025000100083&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[RESUMEN: Se presenta el caso de una paciente de 79 años, hipertensa, dislipémica y antecedente de hemorragia digestiva alta en seguimiento por gastroenterología; hace cuatro meses inició con clínica de angina de esfuerzo progresiva por lo que se le solicitó un angioTAC coronario que mostró una lesión significativa en un ramo diagonal de buen calibre. Ante ello se decidió realizar coronariografía confirmándose la presencia de una primera diagonal de buen calibre y desarrollo con una lesión severa en su segmento proximal (85-90%), el resto de los vasos epicárdicos no presentaban lesiones significativas. Se procedió a realizar una predilatación correcta de la lesión logrando una buena apertura del vaso sin imagen de disección y teniendo en cuenta las comorbilidades descriptas, se decidio el implante de un balón farmacoactivo Pantera Lux (Biotronik) ajustado al ostium de la primera diagonal que cubrió la lesión obteniéndose un muy buen resultado final.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT: We present the case of a 79-year-old female patient with hypertension, dyslipidemia, and a history of upper gastrointestinal bleeding who is under follow-up by gastroenterology. Four months ago, she began experiencing progressive exertional angina symptoms. A coronary CT angiography was requested, which showed a significant lesion in a diagonal branch of good caliber. The decision was made to proceed with coronary angiography, which confirmed the presence of a first diagonal branch of adequate caliber and development, accompanied by a severe lesion in its proximal segment (85-90%). The remaining epicardial vessels did not exhibit significant lesions. The lesion was correctly predilatated, and a good opening of the vessel was achieved without any dissection. Considering the described comorbidities, it was decided to implant a Pantera Lux (Biotronik) drug-eluting balloon adjusted to the ostium of the first diagonal that covered the lesion, obtaining a very good final result.]]></p></abstract>
