PARAGUAY: EL CORAZÓN DE IBEROAMÉRICA EN 2014

La cirugía del Siglo XXI, se encuentra en un proceso de adaptación de su doctrina y prácticas tradicionales a los nuevos avances científicos y tecnológicos. La cirugía hoy, es una conjunción de Arte y Ciencia, para algunos, cada vez más Ciencia y menos Arte.

Del 15 al 17 de setiembre próximos se realizará el XVII Congreso Paraguayo de Cirugía, en conjunto con el XXII Congreso de la Asociación Iberoamericana de Cirugía Torácica y III Congreso Paraguayo de Cirugía Torácica, en nuestra ciudad capital, Asunción: una ciudad abierta de cara al Río Paraguay, apacible y acogedora, que se precia de su bello enclave natural, su cultura y su gente.

La sede del evento, el Hotel Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo se encuentra ubicado en un entorno de plena naturaleza, a orillas del Río Paraguay, con una playa de 400 metros y rodeado de 100 hectáreas de exuberante vegetación, ideal para despejar la mente, olvidarse de las presiones de la vida cotidiana y renovar el cuerpo, la mente y el espíritu.

Actualmente el enfoque y el manejo del paciente deben ser multidisciplinarios y compartidos, entre todos los especialistas y es por ello que hemos elegido como ejes temáticos a la cirugía hepatobiliopancreática, cirugía oncológica, de la pared abdominal, bariátrica y metabólica, sin olvidar las infecciones y el trauma. Nuestros conferencistas, especialmente invitados desde distintas regiones de Latinoamérica, EEUU y Europa, nos darán una puesta al día, que sumados a los expositores nacionales, compartirán sus experiencias y enseñanzas.

¿Qué nos ofrece este Congreso? Un evento científico y social, a nuestro criterio de primer nivel preparado por el Comité Organizador. Un evento de madurez y solvencia científica para sumar y seguir creciendo. Abarca toda la temática relevante, resumida en tres días de intenso trabajo, con una actualización de todas las patologías quirúrgicas prevalentes y con un espacio central de presentaciones orales de los trabajos distinguidos por su calidad científica.

Los invito a realizar una pausa en su intensa actividad y a participar en forma activa con el propósito de elevar la calidad de la atención que brindamos a nuestros enfermos y pensando en un futuro promisorio. De todos dependerá el éxito de este Congreso.

Surgery of the XXI Century is in the process of adapting its doctrine and practices to new scientific and technological advances. Surgery today is a combination of Art and Science, for some, more and more science and less art.

From 15 to 17 next September the Paraguayan XVII Congress of Surgery will be held in conjunction with the XXII Congress of Iberoamerican Association of Thoracic Surgery and III Paraguayan Congress of Thoracic Surgery, in our capital city, Asuncion: an open city to the Paraguay River, peaceful and welcoming, which boasts its beautiful natural setting, its culture and its people.

The venue, the Hotel Yacht and Golf Club Paraguay is located in an environment of open air, on the banks of the Paraguay River, with a beach 400 meters and surrounded by 100 acres of lush greenery, ideal for clearing the mind, forget from the pressures of everyday life and renew the body, mind and spirit.

Currently the focus and patient management should be multidisciplinary and shared among all the specialists and that is why we have chosen as the metabolic themes hepatobiliopancreatic surgery, oncologic surgery, abdominal wall, bariatric and not forgetting infections and trauma. Our speakers, specially invited from various regions of Latin America, USA and Europe, will give us an update, which added to the national exhibitors will share their experiences and lessons.

What gives this Congress? A scientific and social event, at our discretion premier prepared by the Organizing Committee. An event of maturity and scientific expertise to add and keep growing. It covers all relevant subject, summarized in three days of intense work, with an update of all surgical pathologies prevalent and a central place of oral presentations of work distinguished by its scientific quality.
