On June 1 of this year, the II Scientific Fair of Veterinary Sciences was held, with the theme “Aiming for Research, Development and Innovation", organized by the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, through the Research Department Scientific and Technological (DICT) at the San Lorenzo headquarters and declared to be of Academic and Scientific Interest and FCV - UNA and the National Council of Sciences and Technology (CONACYT) with the participation of authorities of the National University of Asunción, the different academic units of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Teachers, Researchers, Students, Speakers and Representatives of Public Institutions and Companies of the sector private. The purpose of this project was to promote the dissemination of research work, in line with the research guidelines developed in the Animal Production, Veterinary Medicine and Basic Area guidelines; to promote the participation of researchers and students of the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, through the formation of a critical spirit and in order to generate projects applicable to our country; to promote teamwork among departments and chairs of the institution, developing the capacity of scientific communication through publications and participation in events and exhibitions at national and international level; Transfer the knowledge obtained to the classroom, through the use of ICTs as innovative educational experiences; And collaborate with the development and implementation of technologies, integrating the University to the Paraguayan society. Twenty-three research papers were selected by the Scientific Committee, made up of professionals from our institution. The presentations were based on the presentation of banners following formats preestablished by the Organizing Committee. On the day of the event, the banners were exposed to the general public and their defense before the members of the jury who was in charge of one of the members of the corresponding research team, for a period of time of approximately 10 minutes. The evaluation and final award of the research work was carried out by recognized referees in the field of research. As a corollary to this editorial, it is opportune to emphasize that scientific publication constitutes, in today's world, the archetype of research and scientific work. With its own norms and rules, it hierarchizes and circulates specifically relevant knowledge.
