The objective of this research study is to analyze the success factors for the sustainability and longevity of family businesses. It was based on a qualitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design approach. Data was collected through an in-depth review of various relevant literature sources. The findings revealed a series of critical factors that influence the performance and longevity of family businesses, highlighting the importance of generational succession planning, leadership, a strong business culture, and the family conflicts management. The professionalization of family businesses and the family protocol also emerged as key elements for sustained success. This analysis provides a comprehensive view of the factors underpinning the continuity and success of family businesses, offering valuable insights for strategic decision-making and effective management of these organizations.
