Resumen

The objective is to evaluate the perception about virtual classes of dentistry students at the National University of Concepción during COVID-19, 2020. It was based on a quantitative, cross-sectional and descriptive approach. The population of 98 students from the Faculty of Dentistry of the National University of Concepción (FOUNC) was taken as a sample, obtaining a response rate of 56% (55) for convenience. The inclusion criteria were active-enrolled students during the 2020 period with voluntary participation, and exclusion, with permission to not attend the year and be in the sixth year of the career. The survey was applied through a questionnaire sent via e-mail, Messenger and WhatsApp, December 2020. The instrument consisted of seven variables and 37 items. 52.7% satisfied with virtual classes during isolation, 45.5% satisfied with the development of new conceptual knowledge, 34.5% procedural and 38.2% attitudinal. Likewise, 36% consider saving time as the most outstanding advantage and 44% consider distractions as a disadvantage. More than 50% of the participants are satisfied with the virtual classes of the FOUNC. Conceptual knowledge is easier to develop than procedural and attitudinal knowledge during virtual classes.
