Abstract

CORDOVA, Katherine; FERNANDEZ, Karen  and  VERGARA-MORALES, Jorge. Perception of educational actors on the action protocols in alcohol and drug consumption behaviors in Chilean school institutions. Acad. (Asunción) [online]. 2022, vol.9, n.2, pp.165-178. ISSN 2414-8938.  https://doi.org/10.30545/academo.2022.jul-dic.5.

The consumption of alcohol and drugs by students of the Chilean school system begins at an even earlier age. For this reason, it is considered important to analyze the experience of educational actors on the implementation of devices intended to regulate this type of practices. Due to the lack of studies that show the perception of educational actors on the implementation of protocols for school coexistence in alcohol and/or drug consumption behaviors in educational institutions, the aim of the study is to understand the perception of educational actors on the action protocols in alcohol and/or drug consumption behaviors in the Chilean school institutions. A qualitative methodology is used, oriented from a phenomenological design. The participants were a total of 6 informants who worked in two schools of the south-central zone of Chile. The results show an inconsistent perception about the socialization of the action protocols. The operation of the action protocols is positively perceived, although it is recognized that the scope is insufficient to guide preventive work on consumer behaviors.

Keywords : School coexistence; education; action protocols; phenomenology.
