Due to the constant increase in the available information and the vertiginous changes within the workplace, people must have competences that can face them. The acquisition of specific skills, such as critical thinking, allows you to analyze and evaluate your own thinking so that you can make decisions and solve complex problems with innovative strategies. This article has an analytical objective how the critical thinking enabled the individual to build the skills of lifelong learning, problem solving, and leadership required in the labor field, through content analysis as a procedure. The importance of these skills, the influence of critical thinking on them and the main obstacles to their achievement are highlighted. Finally, the need to repeat an education focused on the development of critical thinking and these skills is highlighted, as this will have positive effects on your daily and work life.
