FERNANDEZ ESPINOSA, Cira; VILLAVICENCIO AGUILAR, Carmita; JIMENEZ IDROVO, Italo and MENDOZA TORRES, Galo. The daily reality: form of social representation. Acad. (Asunción) [online]. 2020, vol.7, n.1, pp.11-21. ISSN 2414-8938. https://doi.org/10.30545/academo.2020.ene-jun.2.
The article deals with the elements of identity, which are expressed in the social representation of the citizens. The objective is to establish reference frames that guide the attitudes and behaviors of the inhabitants of the province of El Oro, Ecuador, and its projection in everyday spaces: political, religious, social, cultural. The problem is analyzed in the light of the works of Moscovici, Jodelet and Silva, as well as other contemporary authors, whose studies provide lights to establish the components of social representation. In the methodological, the research is guided by a rational deductive approach; for empirical research, their surveys include opinions on the social attributes that distinguish the inhabitants. From the data collected, the social representations of the upper and lower parts of the province are described. As a result of the research, a diagnosis was obtained, which can be used at the time to build a socio-cultural profile, and from that reality to elaborate lines of intervention in the area of interculturality; it is taken into consideration that the province, when developing agro-export and mining activities, receives the permanent influx of settlers from other geographical regions.
