Disparaged, deserted, and decontextualized because of the elitist academic speeches that please as a useless and uncritical, celebrating poverty and historical melancholies of Latin America. Therefore Melodrama puts in central discursive of the official reports marginalized people, making them part of history as forgers of homeland narrations. Melodrama represents explanations of other modernity’s of Latin America. The objective of this essay is to demonstrate the importance of Melodrama in the construction of cultural, social and political narratives in Latin America, to understand others modernity’s. Starting with communicational readings without leaving aside anthropologies, sociological and the cultural studies, we argument Melodrama as a useful category to think Latin America.
