The present research analyzes the scientific production of researchers categorized in the National Incentive Program for Researchers (PRONII) covering their production as refereed scientific articles published from 2005 to 2015. The study aims to determine the indexes of production by area of science, in order to raise awareness of the importance of national research visibility through publications in refereed journals. The study is quantitative, since the curriculum information of the PRONII researchers provided by CONACYT is used and the Excel software is applied as a tool for statistical analysis. The results obtained indicate that the area of greatest scientific production in Paraguay is that of the Sciences of Health, Chemistry and Animal Biology.
