MURILLO PULGARIN, José Antonio; CARRASQUERO-DURAN, Armando y CANADA CANADA, Florentina. Design of a tool to measure the attitude toward chemistry in older adults. Acad. (Asunción) [online]. 2018, vol.5, n.2, pp.133-142. ISSN 2414-8938. https://doi.org/10.30545/academo.2018.jul-dic.6.
Based on gerontagogical principles, the ATTITUD50+ instrument was designed and validated to measure the "attitude towards chemistry" construct based on three dimensions: Utility, Personal Impact and Affective-emotional. The instrument contained 26 items using qualitative and quantitative descriptors. The theoretical validity of the construct was determined by the Global Validity Index (IVG) in an expert test. By means of a pilot test and statistical analysis, the homogeneity, internal structure and discrimination capacity of the scale were checked, so the tool was highly valid and reliable to correctly measure the attitude toward chemistry of people over 50 years of age.
