This article aims to describe the distribution of positions in the governing bodies of the Universidad Nacional de Asunción according to gender. The methodology used corresponds to a non-experimental cross-sectional design, of a descriptive type with a quantitative approach. A documentary analysis of the information available on the web pages of the Universidad Nacional de Asunción, the different faculties was carried out. Information was gathered regarding the members of the governing bodies, namely the University Assembly, the Higher University Council and the Board of Directors of each of the faculties. With the data, a data matrix was elaborated distributing the charges according to gender. The results obtained reveal that the female presence is reduced in the governing bodies of the university. It is noted that in the positions of greater power such as the rectorship, the vice-rectorate and deaneries, the female presence is minimal, while the greater presence of women is given as student representatives.
