This paper focuses on the sociocultural, economic and political relationship between Paraguay and Russia. In the research of this document, bibliographical-documental of descriptive level analysis have been used combined with analytical and synthetic methods in order to show these issue. Among the main conclusions it can be noted the contribution of the Russian military, artist and scientists to the Paraguay’s development; the importance of the Russian market for Paraguay and the potential of the diplomatic relationship.
