Abstract

The Peruvian State, from 2011 through the Program of Scholarship and Educational Credit (PRONABEC) awarded national economic subsidies to thousands of students with high academic performance and low economic resources, to continue higher education in national and foreign universities. The proposal, caused the displacement of young people from rural areas and Andean and Amazonian communities to the city of Lima, who will remain for a period of approximately five years, until finishing their studies. The objective is to describe and understand the impact of migration, changes in eating patterns, biomedical and cultural diseases, in the students of the Intercultural Bilingual Education career at the "San Ignacio de Loyola" University of Lima. Methodology, qualitative, group interviews, interviews were conducted in depth to a group of 60 students from three different ethnic groups. Food habits, biomedical and cultural diseases are describe.
