Abstract

The objective of this research was to establish the relationship between the level of psychological well-being and the type of coping strategies used by the officials of an educational institution. The psychological well-being questionnaire BIESA A and the IEA coping strategy questionnaire has were administered to a sample of 105 officials; the type of sampling used was the probabilistic stratified proportional. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between the level of psychological well-being and the type of coping strategies. Officials with a high level of psychological well-being use active and adaptive strategies; the highest correlation was between high level of psychological well-being with emotional expression, problem solving and cognitive restructuring.
