Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a mental health condition that hinders the permanence of the individual within the educational system, taking into account the limitations that this generates in the fields of attention, concentration and fulfillment of tasks. In the university environment it would be a factor that increases the probability of dropping out of school, so it should be addressed institutionally. The aim of this research was to determine the frequency of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in students of Higher Education in a private university in Asuncion, in the year 2023. The study design was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional, applied to 88 university students, between the months of April and May, the sampling was non-probabilistic by convenience, a digital questionnaire with sociodemographic variables and the Self-Reported Adult Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder Screening Questionnaire-V1.1 (ASRS-V1.1) of the International Composite Diagnostic Interview of the WHO were applied as instruments. The main results showed that 51.6% of the sample were women; 53.4% were from Asunción and 42.1% from Central; 91% were single, 42% were engineering majors and 38.6% were humanities majors. According to the application of the ASRS-V1.1 Questionnaire, the percentage of people with some degree of ADHD is 46.6%. It is concluded that ADHD is present in a frequency close to half of the participants in the context of the University, which is higher than expected according to statistics related to the subject.
