Abstract

OXLEY-INSFRAN, Victor Manuel. SNEPE 2018: Teacher effectiveness in mathematics. Rev. ciente. UCSA [online]. 2023, vol.10, n.1, pp.3-12. ISSN 2409-8752.  https://doi.org/10.18004/ucsa/2409-8752/2023.010.01.003.

School mathematics education, it is taken for granted, must be taught by teachers specialized in the matter. This research found that, with regard to mathematics teachers of the 3rd grade of the EEB in Paraguay, there are no differences in terms of correlation between higher educational level and / or teacher updating and higher and better results at the percentage level in higher levels III and IV, since all the categories of the teaching staff have an ineffectiveness rate of 74% (they place their students at levels I and II) in terms of achievement objectives for student competence.

Keywords : Specialized knowledge; mathematics teacher; teacher effectiveness.
