This article takes as its starting point the challenge of virtuality and burnout syndrome in education professionals; and, in a more specific way, it allows characterizing the profile of the actors, specifying the level of emotional exhaustion, levels of depersonalization, of personal fulfillment and, linking these results to the use of technologies in a very complex moment in our societies, exacerbated by the presence of COVID-19.
The methodological design according to its scope is descriptive and explanatory. The Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) questionnaire was used for data collection, using 22 closed-ended questions on a Likert-type scale for measurement. A total of 48 professionals from the education area were reached, who participated through the Google forms platform. The data shows that emotional exhaustion is low, that depersonalization levels are medium, and personal fulfillment is low. Although the use of ICT was not considered a significant stressor, although the opinions indicate the contrary.
