Abstract
CABRAL-TORRES, María Esther and KWAN-CHUNG, Chap Kau. Factors that affect the implementation of e-learning in a mobile telephony employees in Paraguay. Rev. ciente. UCSA [online]. 2022, vol.9, n.3, pp.15-22. ISSN 2409-8752. https://doi.org/10.18004/ucsa/2409-8752/2022.009.03.015.
The main goal of the research is to determine the factors that affect the implementation of e-learning in mobile telephony employees in Paraguay. For this research, a mobile phone and internet company with operations in the Paraguayan market was taken as a case study. A qualitative research was carried out, with a non-experimental cross-sectional and descriptive design. Three interviews were conducted (one to the person in charge of training through a 12-question guide and two e-learning trainers from the institution through a 9-question guide) during the month of July 2019. For the implementation of the e-learning system, the factors that caused the most concern were the support of senior management and their accompaniment towards the adoption of ICT, the fear in the use of new technologies as an alternative to acquire knowledge/skills/competencies on the part of the collaborators and the little predisposition or negative attitude of the participants towards the virtual modality. It is concluded that to acquire a sustainable competitive advantage over the time, companies must focus on knowledge management, that is, permanent updating of human knowledge.
