In the current millennium, management is one of the fundamental and controversial topics in the administration processes of organizations, since this process makes possible the development of strategic activities for the achievement of the particular purposes of each organization and contributes to the development of the best life conditions for the national and international community. Reasons enough to highlight the importance of management in today's world. This article analyzes the management process in organizations, establishing the different definitions of the category "management" according to scientific concepts and administrative theories. The dissimilarities between the categories "administration" and "management" are detailed, as well as between the concepts "planned strategic management" and "strategic management". And finally, the approaches to management, classified into classical approach, systemic approach, and complex approach of holistic type, are analyzed.
