From long before and up to the present, each one of us needs to carry out different activities to promote the creativity of the students, thereby developing their creative thinking as well as that of each of the teachers; This article aims to analyze the conceptual contribution and the number of publications of creative thinking in the educational context between the years 2016 to 2020.This study had a quantitative, retrospective approach; with a bibliometric design; a search for synonyms of creative thinking was carried out in UNESCO thesauri, the information search was carried out in the Scopus, Elton B. Stephens COmpany (EBSCO), Academic OneFile y Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), through a general search only with the name of the variable and in the advanced the boolean AND and OR operators were used to limit the selection of the documents and the PRISMA diagram was used for the selection, with the inclusion criteria such as relevance, articles, spanish language, by subject, years 2016 to 2020, among others; of exclusion, duplicate articles are considered, evaluation of title and abstract and language other than Spanish, a sample of 30 scientific articles is obtained, finally, it is mentioned that in different countries around the world great importance is being given to the study of creative thinking, which is a faculty that all people have, that is, how we manage our imagination to respond to the different challenges and problems that arise in our context throughout life.
