It was proposed to investigate insecurity in Paraguay based on national media work. The study started from the premise that insecurity was a subjective architecture that was built by identifying the predominant narratives of the actors who dealt with, fought and understood it. In this research, the media was selected. It was proposed to investigate "how" the phenomenon has been founded in the recent history of the country, from the recurrent speeches of the chosen sector, identifying the basic issues in the media treatment of know-how: news from January 2013 to December 2018. Through the application of the qualitative methodology of documentary analysis, all the digital news of insecurity issued by the ABC Color newspaper (t: 19.202) have been chosen. The main result has been that insecurity was a resource exploited by the media, but one with an intention. Intention, firstly, to create a reality in the reader and, secondly and most importantly, to impact political decisions.
