Resumen

RASCHE-ALVAREZ, Jimmy Walter et al. Sources and doses of organic amendments in the production of moringa. Rev. ciente. UCSA [online]. 2021, vol.8, n.2, pp.13-20. ISSN 2409-8752.  https://doi.org/10.18004/ucsa/2409-8752/2021.008.02.013.

Moringa can represent an excellent food supplement, with high production feasibility in Paraguay. In order to evaluate the effect of sources and doses of organic amendments on moringa cultivation, an experiment was implemented for three years in the Piribebuy district, Cordillera, using a randomized complete block design, with an additional treatment, with bifactorial arrangement, where factor 1 was the three sources of organic amendments (bovine manure, chicken manure and worm humus) and factor 2 the "low", "medium" and "high" levels of each amendment, being the doses of 5 , 10 and 15 t ha-1 for bovine manure and chicken manure and 4, 6 and 8 t ha-1 for worm humus, plus the control (without amendment), thus totaling ten treatments with three repetitions. The variables evaluated were plant height, stem diameter, weight of fresh matter (MF), dry matter (DM) and MF / DM ratio. The analysis of variance was performed and where there was a significant difference the means were compared by the Tukey test at 5%. The application of organic amendment allows the increase of the plant height, the diameter of branches and the production of moringa leaves, compared to the control. The organic amendment based on chicken manure provides greater plant height and diameter of branches and at a “high” level it improves the production of fresh matter and dry matter of moringa in relation to the other sources and levels of amendments.

Palabras clave : Moringa oleífera; chicken manure; bovine manure; humus; organic production.
