This work seeks to identify cultural stereotypes and gender inequality that cause today’s gap in women’s presence on Information and communications technologies fields, commonly called ICT. In this research, it has been detected that the gap starts from childhood, mainly because of the particular interests of each gender, this is enhanced by the use of this type of technology in schools and female role in society. This bibliographical review will serve for futures research about gender and Information technologies.
