Abstract
BARBOZA, O; MENDOZA, J and FARINA, R. Linear Programming applied to load dispatch in Paraguay. Rev. ciente. UCSA [online]. 2019, vol.6, n.3, pp.44-51. ISSN 2409-8752. https://doi.org/10.18004/ucsa/2409-8752/2019.006.03.044-051.
This work has described the equation of an optimization problem posed by Mixed Integer Linear Programming, for the loading dispatch of power generation plants that supply the entire National Interconnected System of Paraguay. The implementation and solution of the problem has been carried out using the Optimization Toolbox® tool of MatLab®. In order to verify the satisfactory behavior of the optimization algorithm, instances have been submitted. Consistent dispatch of the algorithm has been verified by proving that loads are primarily assigned to lower-cost sources and sourcing modalities. Mixed Integer Linear Programming was manifested as an effective tool to capture the particularities of the various modes of supply of generation plants, mainly with regard to the contractual aspects of supply ITAIPU-ANDE, which includes fixed and variable costs.
