For decades, industrialization has been studied as a strategy to boost economic development, especially in Latin America. The aim of this research is to analyze the importance of the special import regimes for the process of industrialization of Paraguay during the period 2010-2018. For this purpose, a mixed methodological design was used, in which the documentary-bibliographic and field modality were amalgamated. This research had explanatory-level, in which different methods were used and quantitative estimations were made from E-views 6.0 software. Among the main results can be seen the positive link between the special import regimes and industrialization and the need to reformulate or improve the industrial policy of Paraguay.
