The present work systematizes the information obtained about the punishable act of sexual abuse in children and adolescents in the city Encarnación - Paraguay occurred between 2014 and 2016 in order to obtain a broad view on how this crime is manifested in the increase or decrease Of their values during the aforementioned period, the identification of aspects such as family characteristics, the time and manner in which the cases are revealed and the weaknesses in the protection of victims of abuse. To carry out this study has taken into account the methodological parameters of descriptive and cross-sectional, non-experimental research with a mixed approach. The rates of sexual abuse in children, according to the data provided by the institutions responsible for dealing with these cases, are high and are closely linked to economic and cultural partners.
