The main goal of this work is to reveal the existence of a market for the powdered egg commercialization in the country. With this purpose, local and international eggs markets were studied. To gather and process the necessary information, an exploratory research was applied in the processing of primary and secondary data. The field research consisted of a series of deep interviews to experts regarding the production of eggs and interviews to 23 people in charge of companies that are elaborating products based on eggs in Gran Asuncion. In a local level, powdered eggs offering parties are formed by companies that import powdered egg from Brazil and Argentina. According to the Central Bank of Paraguay, 10,000 kilograms of powdered eggs have entered the country, with an approximate cost of U$S 10 (ten American dollars) per kilo, CIF price. Also, two new companies has been found to be capable to produce, together, at a capacity of 165.600 kilos per year. The existence of a market space for the powdered egg is clear, and it has interesting dimensions with a potential of a growing demand, considering that the capacity of processing by the companies identified in the research is higher than the current offer.
