Abstract

CABALLERO MERLO, J.N.. Social conditions of production of knowledge, the exclusive we (ore), and the possibilities of the development of the scientific community in social sciences in Paraguay. Rev. ciente. UCSA [online]. 2016, vol.3, n.1, pp.47-66. ISSN 2409-8752.  https://doi.org/10.18004/ucsa/2409-8752/2016.003(01)047-066.

The results that follow are shared within the line of research that I do about "Teaching and Research in Sociological History of Sociology in Paraguay" and that express certain links and ties among three dimensions that make the state and social conditions of production of knowledge of sociology in Paraguay. The first, refers to the state of situation of institutional development of research in sociology in the country, the result of the diagnosis using the systematic database from the National Incentive Program for Research (PRONII) of the National Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) Paraguay, which simultaneously show institutional weakness, either from universities or Independent Scholars centers (CAI), as production conditions in the area and discipline. Also the recent and still little impact on the available amount of researchers considered individually, as well as in its objectified production. Through the second, in a more enunciative and descriptive style, the concept of scientific community is presented, only for the purpose of enabling its link with the third dimension, the problematization of a particular type of social practice (orekuete, in Guarani language, 'only and exclusively us'). Which develops as part of the set of social relations of community character -'we exclusive'- in the society and national culture, and even as a condition of production, in the academic field of social sciences, both in a institutionally manner as well as among peers. That in a society in the process of modernizing development (traditional-modern tensions, rural-urban) extend, interweave and install beyond its 'natural' community field, to the own relationships and associational spaces, moving them indeed, to its formal apparent visibility , and at the same time, institutionalizing. Connivance and coexistence that occurs in two simultaneous but different registers. They can be catalysed with its problematization some keys to, in its overcoming, both contextual (social and institutional structures) as well as active (the homo academicus as an active transformer character), develop a horizontal scientific community among peers in the area beginning from bases that are necessarily institutional-associational.

Keywords : Community relationships ore; exclusionary practices orekuete; associational and community institutionalization; development; scientific community; research, social sciences; sociology; Paraguay.
