The objective of the work was to determine the % ADR (Recommended Dietary Allowance) of fluoride, iodide and chloride, covered by the intake of 2 complete infusions of 50 g yerba mate and 500 ml of water each one. 38 yerbas marks were used and of each a 4 samples were extracted, simulating their habitual forms of consumption. They were measured with electrodes of selective ion. The values mean of the hot aqueous extract regarding the cold presented significant differences the chloride and the fluoride, the iodide didn`t present (p<0.05 and NC 95%). The % ADR covered whit fluoride, iodide and chloride in 0-90 years old people were of (128.5-22.5), (46.6-28) and (6.3-5.3) respectively. In any evaluated period of the % AMT (Tolerable Maximum Allowance) were overcome. The % ADR in iodide and fluoride was important. The infusion of of the yerba contributes to the prevention of endemic illnesses originated by the lack of these minerals.
